Degree Requirements and Curriculum

Requirements

The MAGP degree provides you with an interdisciplinary and cohort-based experience.

The program begins with a seven-week, non-credit foundation period, which is completed online and covers theories of international relations and international economics. These courses will assist you in preparing for your MAGP studies, and introduce you to the other members of your MAGP cohort.

The MAGP is conferred upon successfully completing 41 credit hours including thirteen (13) courses plus four residencies (three local and one abroad) and five application seminars (running throughout the program). The 41 credits are divided as follows:

  • Cohort Courses (8 courses worth 16 credits; courses are 2 credits each.)
  • Elective Courses (4 courses worth 8 credits; courses are 2 credits each.)
  • Local Residencies (3 courses worth 6 credits; courses are 2 credits each.)
  • Global Residency (1 course worth 2 credits.)
  • Leading Change in a Global Environment (1 course worth 4 credits)
  • Application Seminars (5 courses worth 5 credits; courses are 1 credit each.)

All courses and application seminars are graded using the standard grading scale, and residencies are graded pass/fail.

Curriculum

The curriculum was designed to include four phases:

  • Foundation (Program Preparation) – Online and non-credit preparation work and Residency I
  • Core (or Theory and Concept Foundation) – Module I and II and Residency II
  • Advanced Topics (or Functional Understanding) – Module III and IV and Residency III
